Caramelized Banana Toast with Gluten-Free Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Kim and Jake's Gluten-Free Hearty Loaf
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • Peanut butter (for spreading on toast)
  • Optional: coconut flakes for topping

Preparation

  1. In a pan, combine the coconut oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla. Stir them together over medium heat.

  2. Slice the banana and place each slice in the pan with the mixture. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, then flip the banana slices.

  3. Cook the other side for an additional 3-5 minutes, adjusting the time based on desired caramelization.

  4. While the banana is caramelizing, slice and toast the gluten-free bread.

  5. Spread peanut butter on the toasted bread slices.

  6. Once the banana slices are caramelized to your liking, arrange them on top of the peanut butter-covered bread slices.

  7. Optional: Sprinkle coconut flakes over the top.

  8. Enjoy your delicious caramelized banana toast!
