Oil-Free Double Fudge Brownies

Ingredients

  • 2 flax eggs (2 tbsp flax meal mixed with 4 tbsp water)
  • 1 banana, mashed
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup dairy free milk
  • 1/3 cup creamy almond butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup Lucuma or coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup protein powder of choice
  • 2 tbsp cacao or cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp pink sea salt

Preparation

  1. Prepare flax eggs by mixing 2 tablespoons flax meal with 4 tablespoons water and let sit for a few minutes to thicken

  2. Mash the banana

  3. Mix flax egg and mashed banana in a large bowl.

  4. Add maple, vanilla, almond butter, and milk and mix until creamy.

  5. Stir in dry ingredients except chips, until batter forms; it will be creamy batter.

  6. Fold in half of the chocolate chips.

  7. Pour into an 8x8 or 8x4 tray that is lined.

  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 17-20 minutes.
