Homemade Almond Milk Soaking Method

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds
  • Water for soaking
  • 2-4 cups water for blending
  • Optional: maple syrup or date syrup for sweetening

Preparation

  1. Soak 1 cup of almonds overnight in a lot of water to release phytic acid and improve digestibility.

  2. Rinse the soaked almonds in the morning.

  3. Blend the rinsed almonds with 2-4 cups of water on high speed for 30-60 seconds.

  4. Pour the blended mixture through a strainer and stir with a spoon to extract the milk.

  5. Enjoy the almond milk, optionally adding sweeteners like maple syrup or date syrup.

  6. Save the almond pulp for other recipes, such as mixing with bananas and cacao for desserts.
