Potato, Cabbage, and Field Roast Smoked Apple Sage Sausage Skillet

Ingredients

  • 3 medium-sized red potatoes
  • 3 Field Roast Smoked Apple Sage Sausage links
  • 8 cups cabbage ribbons
  • 1/2 large onion, sliced thinly
  • Salt and pepper
  • Paprika
  • Oil for cooking
  • Vegan butter (optional)

Preparation

  1. Cut potato and sausage into bite-sized chunks.

  2. In a heated non-stick pan, sear sausage chunks with oil until lightly browned on both sides. Transfer cooked sausage to a bowl.

  3. Using the same pan, add more oil and pan-fry potatoes until golden brown.

  4. Push the potatoes to the side of the pan, and sauté onions until they turn translucent.

  5. Add in the cabbage ribbons and continue to cook until the cabbage is tender.

  6. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and vegan butter, if using.

  7. Add the sausage back in and toss all the ingredients until well-combined.

  8. Serve warm as is or enjoy with a side of homemade pretzels.
