Easy Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte
Ingredients
Pumpkin caramel
- 125g pumpkin puree
- 110g brown sugar
- 200g water
- 1 star anise
- 4 cloves
- a bit of fresh ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cardamom pod
Latte components
- milk (as needed for one mug)
- espresso shot (optional)
Preparation
Making pumpkin caramel
Add all the ingredients to a saucepan and stir.
Cook on medium-high heat until slightly bubbly.
Continue cooking until reduced to a thick and sweet puree.
Transfer the mixture to a jar.
Serving latte
Add 2 tablespoons of the pumpkin caramel to warm milk.
Optionally add a shot of espresso.
Stir and enjoy.
