Three Bean Hempe Chili

Ingredients

  • Package of Hempe Plant Protein Hempé
  • 1/2 small or medium Onion
  • Can of Black Beans
  • Can of Cannellini Beans
  • Can of Kidney Beans
  • Diced Tomatoes
  • Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tsp of Bragg Liquid Aminos
  • 2 tsp of Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp of Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp of Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp of Smoked Paprika
  • 1 large Bay Leaf
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp of Spice Mode Cajun Seasoning

Preparation

  1. Sauté the Hempe with a bit of cumin, Cajun Seasoning and Liquid Aminos until browned and set aside

  2. Sauté the onion and once translucent add the beans, spices and diced tomatoes

  3. Add in the tomato sauce and bay leaf and let simmer for about 20 minutes on medium-low heat

  4. Add the cooked Hempe and mix well and let simmer another 10 minutes before serving

  5. Serve with your choice of chopped onions, grated cheese and/or sour cream
