3-Ingredient Healthy Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (melted and cooled but still liquid)
  • 1/2 cup cacao or cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup or liquid sweetener of choice
  • Pinch of salt
  • More cocoa or cacao for dusting

Preparation

  1. Whisk together all ingredients in a medium bowl. Keep whisking as mixture thickens.

  2. Put the bowl in the fridge or freezer until the chocolate mixture is hardened but scoopable.

  3. Use a spoon to scrape out the chocolate and roll it into balls with your hands.

  4. Roll each ball lightly in cocoa powder, nuts, coconut, pumpkin spice, or topping of choice.

  5. Enjoy as is or return to the fridge or freezer to harden further.

Tips

  1. The mixture may be ready in about 15 minutes in the freezer.

  2. It may get messy when rolling the balls.

  3. Cacao powder will be more bitter than cocoa powder.
