Easy Vegan Caramel Apple Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 slices pumpernickel bread
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 apple

Vegan caramel sauce

  • 50 g vegan butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp natural peanut or almond butter
  • pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Add maple syrup and vegan butter to a microwave-safe bowl.

  2. Microwave on high for 1.5-2 minutes.

  3. Stir in peanut or almond butter and a pinch of salt to complete the caramel sauce.

  4. Toast pumpernickel bread slices

  5. Spread peanut butter on the toasted bread

  6. Top with sliced apples

  7. Drizzle with the prepared caramel sauce
