Easy Vegan Caramel Apple Toast
Ingredients
- 2 slices pumpernickel bread
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 1 apple
Vegan caramel sauce
- 50 g vegan butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 3 tbsp natural peanut or almond butter
- pinch of salt
Preparation
Add maple syrup and vegan butter to a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on high for 1.5-2 minutes.
Stir in peanut or almond butter and a pinch of salt to complete the caramel sauce.
Toast pumpernickel bread slices
Spread peanut butter on the toasted bread
Top with sliced apples
Drizzle with the prepared caramel sauce
