Easy Vegan Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 large potato
  • 1 large carrot
  • 2 cups unsweetened non-dairy milk
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast flakes

Preparation

  1. Boil the potato and carrot until soft. Chop into small chunks.

  2. Add all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.

Tips

  1. This sauce is delicious and can be used for dipping, poured over baked tofu or tempeh, or in pasta or lasagna.

  2. Reduce the amount of non-dairy milk to make the sauce thicker and better for vegan pizzas or nachos.

  3. The sauce contains only nourishing ingredients with no preservatives, less sugar and saturated/trans fat, less sodium, and it is gluten-free and low-carb.
