Green Tea Apple Smoothie with Spinach and Chia

Ingredients

  • 1 green apple, peeled and cored
  • 1/2 cup freshly brewed green tea, cooled (made with 1 bag in 1/2 cup hot water; Matcha can be used instead)
  • 1 big handful of spinach
  • 1 wedge of lemon, squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (or 1 scoop of favorite protein powder)
  • 1/2 inch ginger, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt (soy used)
  • Big pinch of cardamom powder (optional if using cardamom green tea)
  • 1/2 cup chilled almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until completely smooth. Enjoy!
