Paleo and Vegan Apple Crisp
Ingredients
- 4 apples of choice (e.g., 2 Honeycrisp and 2 Granny Smith)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
Topping
- 3/4 cup almond flour
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar
- 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Preparation
Slice the apples.
Heat a small, oven-safe skillet for a few minutes, then add the coconut oil, apples, and other apple ingredients. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, coating the apples.
In a bowl, mix together the topping.
Add the topping to the apples, breaking it up into pieces to make it crumbly. Avoid making the pieces too thick.
Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.
Remove from the oven and serve.
