Raw Vegan Heavy Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup filtered water
  • 2 cups raw (whole) cashews
  • 1 cup almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup filtered water
  • Optional for sweet: add vanilla extract or maple syrup (to taste)
  • Optional for savory: add sea salt and lemon juice (to taste)

Preparation

  1. Soak cashews in a bowl (submerged completely in cold water) for 4-6 hours or overnight

  2. Drain and transfer cashews to a food processor or magic bullet or blender with the liquid ingredients - start out with half the liquid and add more based upon how thick or creamy you want it

  3. Process until smooth (add more liquid if needed)
