Raw Vegan Heavy Cream
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)
- 1/4 cup filtered water
- 2 cups raw (whole) cashews
- 1 cup almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)
- 1/4 cup filtered water
- Optional for sweet: add vanilla extract or maple syrup (to taste)
- Optional for savory: add sea salt and lemon juice (to taste)
Preparation
Soak cashews in a bowl (submerged completely in cold water) for 4-6 hours or overnight
Drain and transfer cashews to a food processor or magic bullet or blender with the liquid ingredients - start out with half the liquid and add more based upon how thick or creamy you want it
Process until smooth (add more liquid if needed)
