The Pasta Shells Are from Aldi and the Cheese Is Tesco's Strong Soya

Ingredients

  • 2 red peppers, chopped
  • 1 large red onion, chopped
  • 1 red chilli, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tsp of salt and pepper, chilli powder, cajun spice, oregano
  • 2 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 crushed veggie stock cube
  • 750g tomato passata

Preparation

  1. Lentils or beans of your choice

  2. I used a tin of Tescos' mixed beans and chickpeas in a hot and spicy sauce

  3. As I was the only one eating the sauce with beans I only used one tin, I would recommend using 2+ tins if you are having beans with the entire portion of sauce)

  4. Method

  5. Add the chopped vegetables to the pan and cook in a little oil for a few minutes

  6. Add the garlic and all of the herbs and spices to the pan and cook for a couple more minutes

  7. Add the passata and blend

  8. Add the beans including the hot and spicy sauce to the pan and cook for 5-10 minutes

  9. Enjoy
