Chermoula - North African Flavored Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp paprika powder
  • 2 tsp ground coriander powder
  • 3 handfuls fresh cilantro
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Juice of 1/4 lemon
  • 1 handful fresh parsley
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves

Preparation

  1. In a pan, fry the cumin, coriander powder, and paprika powder for about thirty seconds to release their flavors.

  2. Transfer the fried spices to a food processor.

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients (cilantro, salt, pepper, lemon juice, parsley, olive oil, and garlic cloves) to the food processor.

  4. Process the ingredients until smooth, creating a flavorful Chermoula sauce.

  5. Serve the Chermoula with a drizzle of olive oil and cumin seeds on top.
