15-Minute Vegan Fruit Turnover
Ingredients
- 3 heaped tablespoons all-purpose/plain flour
- 2 tablespoons any yogurt (dairy-free for vegan option)
- 2 tablespoons chopped cherries (or any fruit)
- 1 tablespoon cranberry sauce (or any jam)
- Drop of almond essence
- Sprinkle of sugar
- Dab of milk (dairy-free for vegan option)
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) fan/350°F/gas mark 6.
In a bowl, mix together the flour and yogurt using a spoon until combined. When it starts to clump together, use your hands to form a dough ball.
Knead the dough in your hands for 30 seconds, then flatten it out onto a floured surface to create a square shape.
In a mug, mix together the chopped fruit, cranberry sauce (or jam), and almond essence. Spread this mixture in the middle of your dough square.
Fold the dough diagonally to form a triangle shape, and press the edges down with a fork to crimp it.
Dab the top of the turnover with a bit of milk and sprinkle some sugar on top. Place it in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the turnover is golden on top.
