Vegan Oatmeal and Chia Breakfast Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 2 Tbsp white chia seeds
- 1/4 tsp blue spirulina powder
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1 cup almond milk
Toppings
- Apple wheels
- Freeze dried raspberries
- Two figs, quartered
- Passion fruit
- A square of dark chocolate
Preparation
Combine all oat ingredients and simmer to desired thickness.
For the chia pudding, blend chia seeds and spirulina powder first to avoid clumping, add remaining ingredients, shake well, refrigerate for 5 minutes, shake again, and allow to set for an hour or overnight.
Assemble the bowl by combining the oat mixture, chia pudding, and toppings.
