Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons ground flaxseed + 1/2 cup water⁠
  • 1 cauliflower, about 4-5 cups⁠
  • 1/2 cup brown rice flour⁠
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast⁠
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil⁠
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano⁠
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder⁠
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes⁠
  • 1 tsp salt⁠

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 425º, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  2. Mix the flaxseed and water in a small bowl, and let sit

  3. Pulse the cauliflower in a food processor until it’s minced finely, similar to the texture of wet sand or quinoa

  4. Warm 1 tablespoon of grapeseed oil in a skillet on medium heat, then add the cauliflower

  5. Stir, and cook for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat

  6. In a large mixing bowl combine the remaining crust ingredients, the cooked cauliflower, and the flax “egg”

  7. Stir well

  8. Use a spatula to transfer the batter to the baking sheet, and spread it evenly over the parchment paper

  9. It should be no more than 1/3

  10. If it's any thicker, save the excess to bake later

  11. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove from oven and flip

  12. Bake for another 10 minutes

  13. Top the cauliflower pizza crust with your choice of toppings

  14. Bake another 10 minutes, or until the kale is crispy and tender
