Chocolate Spelt Protein Waffle
Ingredients
- 60g spelt flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Scoop of chocolate crush protein powder
- 200ml unsweetened soya milk
- Maple syrup (to sweeten, optional)
Preparation
In a blender, combine the spelt flour, baking powder, chia seeds, chocolate crush protein powder, and unsweetened soya milk.
Blend everything together until smooth.
Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes to allow the chia seeds to soak up the liquid.
Preheat your waffle machine or waffle mold. If using an oven, preheat to 180ºC (356ºF).
Pour the batter into the waffle machine or mold and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the waffles are golden and cooked through.
If using an oven, place the batter in a waffle mold and bake for approximately 10 minutes at 180ºC (356ºF).
Once cooked, remove the waffles from the machine or oven.
Serve the waffles topped with unsweetened soya yogurt, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a drizzle of Choc Shot orange spice syrup.
