Crispy Barbecue Cauliflower Wings with Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 300g plain flour
  • 300g breadcrumbs
  • 300ml milk (I used almond)
  • 2 tbsp barbecue seasoning
  • 1 tbsp vegan chicken seasoning
  • Spring onion for garnish

Cheese sauce

  • Big handful of cashews
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • Pinch of salt
  • 200ml hot water

Preparation

  1. Cut the cauliflower into florets. Get three bowls out and pour milk in one, flour in the other and breadcrumbs in the last.

  2. Add your seasonings, salt and pepper to the flour. Dip the cauliflower first in the milk, then the flour, then back in the milk and into the breadcrumbs.

  3. Complete this process with all of the cauliflower and then air fry them at 200 for about 15 minutes shaking regularly.

  4. Add all the cheese sauce ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth, adding more water if needed to reach desired consistency.

  5. Serve the wings with chopped spring onion and dip into the cheese sauce
