Crunchy Barbecoa Cauliflower Wings with Cheesy Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 head of cauliflower
- 300g plain flour
- 300g breadcrumbs
- 300ml milk (I used almond)
- 2 tbsp barbecoa seasoning
- 1 tbsp vegan chicken seasoning
- Spring onion for garnish
Cheese sauce
- Big handful of cashews
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- Pinch of salt
- 200ml hot water
Preparation
Cut the cauliflower into florets.
Get three bowls and pour milk into one, flour into another, and breadcrumbs into the last. Add seasonings, salt, and pepper to the flour.
Dip the cauliflower first in the milk, then in the flour, then back in the milk, and finally into the breadcrumbs. Complete this process with all the cauliflower and air fry them at 200°C for about 15 minutes, shaking regularly.
Add all the cheese sauce ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, adding more water if needed to reach the desired consistency.
Serve the wings with chopped spring onion and dip into the cheese sauce.
Notes
No oil is used, resulting in a crisp texture despite the lack of frying.
This dish is served with a cheesy dipping sauce for enhanced flavor.
