Easy Homemade Pickled Cherry Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • Garlic cloves
  • Peppercorns
  • Sprig of parsley
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Mustard seeds (optional)

Marinade

  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 100 milliliters 9% vinegar

Preparation

  1. Place garlic cloves, peppercorns, and a sprig of parsley in sterilized jars, then fill with cherry tomatoes and optionally add mustard seeds.

  2. Pour boiling water over the contents and let sit for 20 minutes.

  3. Drain the water into a pot and bring it to a boil.

  4. Add 3 tablespoons of salt, 6 tablespoons of sugar, and 100 milliliters of 9% vinegar to the boiling water to make the marinade.

  5. Pour the hot marinade back into the jars, seal them tightly, and cover with a blanket or cloth until completely cooled.

Tips

  1. Adding a sprig of parsley greatly enhances the flavor.

  2. These pickled tomatoes are ideal for winter storage and make a tasty snack.
