Healthy Chocolate Pancakes for Breakfast

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats flour
  • 1 ripe banana (mashed)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 2 tsp flaxseeds powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 cup soy milk or any plant-based milk

Preparation

  1. In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients and combine together.

  2. In another bowl mash banana, add milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract and combine well.

  3. Use a blender to blend this mixture to make thin paste sort of consistency or mash by hand as long as it's not too thick.

  4. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients and give a nice stir making sure you don't over mix the batter.

  5. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, just spray a little bit with oil and make sure you don't cook on high heat.

  6. Drop about 1/4 cup mixture onto the pan and cook for about 1-2 minutes, then flip over and cook another few minutes.

  7. Serve them with fresh bananas, maple syrup, chopped nuts and drizzle of melted chocolate and enjoy.
