Healthy Gluten-Free Papdi Chaat
Ingredients
Veggie mixture
- 1 can organic chickpeas
- 3 medium russet potatoes
- 3/4 cup red onion
- 1 tsp chaat masala (Shan Foods)
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- salt to taste
Tamarind dates chutney
- 10 dates
- 2 tsp tamarind paste
- 1/4 cup water
Assembly components
- baked samosa
- gol gappas
- cashew cream
- fresh cilantro
- roasted cumin powder
Preparation
Rinse and drain the chickpeas
Boil the potatoes until soft and cube them
Finely chop the red onion
Mix the veggie mixture ingredients together to combine.
Blend the tamarind dates chutney ingredients until smooth.
Layer the baked samosa and gol gappas for assembly.
Add 2 spoonfuls of the veggie mixture.
Drizzle 1 tsp of cashew cream.
Drizzle 2 tsp of tamarind date chutney.
Garnish with fresh cilantro.
Sprinkle with red chili powder and roasted cumin powder.
