Homemade Chimichurri Sauce Without Oil
Ingredients
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 cup water or more to thin
- Red pepper flakes, optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Add all ingredients to a blender.
Blend the mixture.
Use the sauce as a topping or condiment.
Tips
This recipe omits oil for a lighter flavor.
Adjust salt and pepper based on preference.
Add more water if a thinner consistency is desired.
