Homemade Gherkin Pickles in Vinegar
Ingredients
- Enough gherkin cucumbers to fill a 1 kg jar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon citric acid
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- 4-5 chickpeas
- 1 cup vinegar
- Enough boiling water to cover
Preparation
Poke 2-3 holes in each gherkin cucumber with a knife
Add the salt, citric acid, sugar, garlic, chickpeas, and vinegar to a clean 1 kg jar
Pack the jar with the prepared cucumbers
Pour enough boiling water to cover the cucumbers
Seal the jar tightly after adding all ingredients
