No-Bake Healthy Caramel Bars

Ingredients

Biscuit base

  • 70 gm oat flour
  • 50 gm ground almonds
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3.5 tbsp coconut oil melted

Caramel layer

  • 140 gm dates
  • 3 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp plant-based milk
  • sprinkle of salt

Chocolate coating

  • 150 gm dark chocolate melted

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients of the biscuit base and press the mixture in a loaf tin lined with baking paper and put it in the freezer while making the caramel.

  2. Add all the ingredients of the date caramel into a food processor and blend until smooth, then spread the caramel over the biscuit layer and freeze again for 1-2 hours.

  3. Slice into 10 bars, dip each into the melted chocolate, place on a board lined with baking paper and chill in the fridge until the chocolate is set and enjoy.
