Simple Vegan Pancakes with Basic Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup plant-based milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the plant-based milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract

  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined, avoiding overmixing

  4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with oil or cooking spray

  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet and cook until bubbles form on the surface and edges look set

  6. Flip the pancake and cook the other side until golden brown

  7. Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more oil if necessary
