Soft and Fluffy Flatbreads

Ingredients

  • 300g strong white flour
  • 7g packet fast yeast
  • 2.5 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 185ml warm water

Preparation

  1. Put all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix immediately, stir to combine, then bring together into a dough with your hand. If necessary add a little more water. Knead the dough in the bowl for five minutes.

  2. Cover and leave to rise for 1-2 hours until it’s doubled in size.

  3. Flour your kitchen top and rolling pin, divide the dough into 4 balls and roll out to thin rounds.

  4. To cook, place in a large, very hot dry pan. The bread should almost immediately start to bubble up, if it doesn’t the pan isn’t hot enough. Cook for around one min each side. Repeat

Serving suggestions

  1. Use with souvlaki, shawarma, doner, or shish kebab, filled with favorite dips, sauces, and salads.

  2. Alternatively, use for dipping or pair with pulled lamb shawarma and homemade hummus.
