Vegan Butter Beer Recipe for Harry Potter Fans

Ingredients

  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 2 teaspoons plant-based butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 100ml plant-based cream
  • 400ml plant-based milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 250ml malt beer
  • Plant-based whipped cream
  • Optional: splash of rum

Preparation

  1. Cut open the vanilla bean and scrape out the pulp.

  2. Melt the plant-based butter in a pot.

  3. Add the brown sugar to the pot and caramelize it over medium heat, stirring constantly.

  4. Deglaze the pot with the plant-based cream.

  5. Cook and stir the mixture.

  6. In a separate bowl, mix together the plant-based milk, vanilla pulp, cinnamon, and cacao powder.

  7. Add the milk mixture to the pot and bring it to a boil.

  8. Cook the mixture for about 3 minutes.

  9. Remove the pot from the heat.

  10. Slowly mix in the malt beer.

  11. Heat the mixture again over medium heat, but do not let it boil.

  12. Serve the butter beer and top it with plant-based whipped cream.
