Vegan Caesar's Stuffed Crazy Bread
Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour (360g)
- 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoon [7g])
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon organic granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoon vegan butter melted
- 3/4 / 1 cup water 180ml to 240ml
- 1 1/4 cup vegan mozzarella shreds (140g)
- 2 tablespoons nondairy milk unsweetened and unflavored
- 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted (44g)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Pinch red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons vegan parmesan grated
Preparation
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar
Add the melted vegan butter and water, then knead the dough until smooth and elastic
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size
Preheat the oven to the appropriate temperature for baking bread
Divide the dough into portions and stuff each with vegan mozzarella shreds
Brush the stuffed dough with nondairy milk and place on a baking sheet
Bake until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted
While baking, melt the vegan butter and mix with dried parsley, garlic powder, olive oil, red pepper flakes, and vegan parmesan to make the garlic butter topping
Remove the bread from the oven and immediately brush with the garlic butter mixture
