Vegan Focaccia with Garlic Chili Oil

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups (400ml) lukewarm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (7g) instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 3/4 cups (470g) wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Additional olive oil for baking dish and topping

Garlic chili oil

  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) hot oil

Preparation

  1. Mix the dough and let it rest for 4 hours.

  2. Place the dough in an oiled baking dish and let it rest for 45 minutes.

  3. Bake at 220°C/450°F for 20-25 minutes.

Garlic chili oil

  1. Combine garlic, chili flakes, and hot oil.

Tips

  1. Dip the focaccia in garlic chili oil for enhanced flavor.

  2. Use the focaccia as bread for sandwiches or serve with soup.
