Viral Vegan Smash Burger Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked lentils
  • 1 flax egg

Seasonings

  • few dashes salt
  • few dashes pepper
  • few dashes garlic powder
  • few dashes onion powder
  • few dashes smoked paprika

Toppings

  • tortillas of choice
  • chopped tomato
  • shredded lettuce
  • pickles

Sauce

  • vegan mayo
  • ketchup
  • mustard
  • garlic powder

Preparation

  1. Mash the cooked lentils well.

  2. Add the seasoning and flax egg to the lentil mixture and stir until sticky.

  3. Form 2-inch balls from the mixture.

  4. Flatten each ball onto a tortilla.

  5. Pan-fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.

  6. Assemble with toppings and sauce as desired.

Tips

  1. The mixture adheres well to the tortilla, with only a small amount possibly falling off during cooking.
