Avocado Garlicky Mushroom Toast
Ingredients
Mushrooms
- About 250/300gr of chestnut mushrooms
- 1 clove of garlic -crushed
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- a generous splash of tamari sauce
- 2 tablespoons of thyme leaves
- a sprinkle of black pepper
Avocado
- 1 ripe avocado
- the juice of 1/2 lemon
- a pinch of sea salt or pink Himalayan salt
Preparation
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, add crushed garlic, and sauté for 1 minute
Add mushrooms, tamari sauce, thyme leaves, and black pepper; cook until mushrooms are tender, about 5-7 minutes
In a bowl, mash the avocado with lemon juice and salt
Toast the bread slices until golden brown
Spread the mashed avocado on the toasted bread and top with the cooked mushroom mixture
