Baked Galaxy Chocolate Kunafa

Ingredients

Filling

  • 4 pieces Galaxy chocolate
  • 500 grams kunafa
  • 2 cups milk
  • 5 tablespoons starch
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rose water
  • 1 cup melted ghee

For serving

  • 8 pieces melted Galaxy chocolate
  • Finely ground pistachio

Preparation

  1. Set the wire rack in the oven, preheat the oven to 180°C, and prepare shallow-rimmed trays.

  2. In a saucepan, place milk, starch, and orange blossom water; stir gently with a hand whisk to dissolve the starch, then place the saucepan on heat and stir continuously with a spoon until it thickens into a smooth pudding, and set aside.

  3. Bring a round mold with a hole in the middle, spread the kunafa in the mold to cover the bottom and sides, spread some ghee over it, and place the pudding over the kunafa.

  4. Take several pieces of Galaxy chocolate and spread them over the pudding, add more kunafa on top, and then some more ghee.

  5. Place the kunafa in the oven for about 30 minutes until it turns golden brown.

  6. Place the kunafa on a serving dish, spread melted Galaxy chocolate in the center, sprinkle with ground pistachio, and serve.
