Blackberry Jam


  • 4 cups blackberries
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 an unpeeled apple cut into quarters


  1. Add the blackberries to a large pot and cook on medium high heat for about 5 mins until the juices start to run

  2. Add the sugar a little at a time to keep the mixture at a continuous rolling boil. Add the Apple and cook all for about 15 mins

  3. Place a small spoon of jam onto a frozen plate. When a skin forms it is ready
