Choc Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 bananas
  • 2/3 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g dark chocolate chunks

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease and line a loaf tin.

  2. Add the bananas to a mixing bowl and mash using a fork.

  3. Add the margarine and sugar to the bowl and cream into the mashed bananas.

  4. Add the flour, mixed spice, cinnamon, baking powder, and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix until combined.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chunks into the cake batter.

  6. Pour the mixture into the lined loaf tin. Place it in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
