Dark Chocolate Peppermint Cookies


  • 1 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of cacao powder
  • 1/4 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp of pink himalayan salt
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tbs of coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup of melted dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of melted dark chocolate chips
  • 2 candy canes crushed


  1. In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients and stir well until ingredients are well combined

  2. Next add wet ingredients into bowl and stir until dough starts to form

  3. Preheat oven to 325°, use a large melon scooper to size and form cookies, place onto parchment paper and repeat process until finished

  4. Place cookies in oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, while the cookies are baking crush candy canes and melt chocolate chips

  5. Remove cookies from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes, start dipping 1/3 of each cookie into melted chocolate and sprinkle crushed candy cane over the melted end, repeat process until finished

  6. Place in freezer for 5 minutes then remove and serve???? #threebunnies
