Extra Crispy Popcorn Tofu
Ingredients
- 14 oz. extra-firm tofu
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- dash of red pepper flakes
- 3/4 cup non-dairy milk
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Preparation
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, spices, milk, and apple cider vinegar until a smooth batter forms.
One-by-one, dunk each tofu cube into the wet batter (shaking off any excess) then coat in panko.
Transfer the coated tofu to the air fryer baskets.
Set the air fryer to 390 degrees and cook for 20 minutes.
Once done, serve hot with BBQ sauce.
