Homemade Veggie Patties with Spicy Tomato Dip

Ingredients

Veggie patties

  • 40g spelt flour (or any wheat or gluten-free flour, except coconut or almond)
  • 50g peas
  • 50g black beans
  • 50g sweet corn
  • 50ml almond milk

Seasonings for patties

  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Garlic powder (to taste)
  • Onion powder (to taste)

Spicy tomato dip

  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • Chilli flakes (to taste)
  • Cayenne pepper (to taste)
  • Smoked paprika (to taste)
  • Garlic powder (to taste)

Preparation

  1. Mix all the veggie patty ingredients in a bowl.

  2. Form the mixture into 3 equal patties.

  3. Add seasonings to the patties to taste.

  4. Place the patties on a non-stick baking tray.

  5. Preheat oven to 180°C

  6. Bake the patties until golden on each side, about 15 minutes per side

  7. For the dip, mix tomato puree with the seasonings to taste
