French Toast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 x brown bread (i use gluten free)
  • 2 x eggs (or 8 tbsp soya/oat/almond milk if vegan)
  • splash of milk
  • 1 tsp maple syrup/ sugar/ or sweetener
  • 1 tsp butter/ coconut oil
  • handful of warm strawberries and a dollop of yoghurt for serving

Preparation

  1. Heat a frying pan with butter/oil

  2. Beat the eggs, milk and sugar into a shallow bowl (or just milk and sugar if vegan)

  3. Soak each slice of bread in the mixture on each side for a couple of seconds and then transfer them to the hot pan

  4. Cook on each side for a couple of minutes or until golden

  5. Slice and serve with warmed up strawberries and yoghurt (plus maple syrup- optional)
