Homemade Sabudana Papad/ Homemade Tapioca Chips

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Tapioca
  • 1/2 cup rive flout
  • salt and cumin seeds
  • water

Preparation

  1. Preparation of Tapioca base

  2. Soak Tapioca for 4 hours, - Drain the water and add 6 cups of water and boil it until the tapioca is dissolved. You will know when the color of the mixture turns slightly gray/black

  3. Add salt and cumin

  4. Mix 1/2 cup of rice flour in water and add the rice flour mixture to the tapioca mixture and mix well. - Close the lid and let it stand for few minutes

  5. Drying the Tapioca Chips: - During summers when the sun is bright and days are hot, lay a cotton cloth or sheet

  6. Using a spoon spread out the tapioca base in small discs

  7. Let it dry it in the sun for about 2 days

  8. When the disc are nice and well dried remove is and store it in air tight container

  9. Cooking

  10. Heat oil and on a low flame when the oil heats up fry the Tapioca chips in oil

  11. Serve is like a snack or main course
