Honey BBQ Tofu with Crispy Coating

Ingredients

  • 1 block (450g) of firm Tofu
  • 1/2 cup corn starch
  • 1/2 cup bbq sauce
  • 2 Tbsp agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp oil

Preparation

  1. Cut tofu in bite size triangle pieces

  2. Coat tofu with corn starch

  3. Fry tofu in hot oil until all sides are lightly crispy and set aside

  4. Heat 2 Tbsp of oil in a pan

  5. Add in agave syrup and bbq sauce and stir until sauce is reduced to a sticky consistency with bubbles all throughout

  6. Mix in the crispy tofu pieces until they are all coated
