Vegan Honey BBQ Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 block (450g) firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup corn starch
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Preparation

  1. Cut the tofu into bite-sized triangle pieces.

  2. Coat the tofu with corn starch.

  3. Fry the tofu in hot oil until all sides are lightly crispy, then set aside.

Sauce

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan.

  2. Add the agave syrup and BBQ sauce, and stir until the sauce reduces to a sticky consistency with bubbles.

  3. Mix in the crispy tofu pieces until they are all coated.
