Stir-fried Black Bean Tofu
Ingredients
- 2 blocks firm tofu
- 1 tbsp Chinese-style fermented black beans
- 2 tbsp oil
- Onions
- Onion leeks
- Bell pepper
- 1 tbsp soy sauce + 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp corn starch + 1 tbsp water, mixed together
Preparation
Dry the tofu by wrapping it in paper towels and placing a flat surface to squeeze out excess liquid.
Slice the tofu into cubes or shape of choice.
Heat a non-stick pan and add a little oil. Pan fry the tofu cubes on each side until crisp and lightly brown, then set aside.
Add oil and sauté the onions, onion leeks, and bell peppers. Add the black beans and mix together.
Add the tofu and season with the soy sauce mix.
Add the cornstarch mixture and sauté until thick, around 2 minutes. Turn off heat and enjoy while hot.
