Stir-Fried Black Bean Tofu

Ingredients

  • 2 blocks firm tofu
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese-style fermented black beans
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Onions
  • Onion leeks
  • Bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water, mixed

Preparation

  1. Dry the tofu by wrapping it in paper towels and placing a flat surface to squeeze out excess liquid.

  2. Slice the tofu into cubes or shape of choice.

  3. Heat a non-stick pan and add a little oil. Pan fry the tofu cubes on each side until crisp and lightly brown. Set aside.

  4. Add oil and sauté the onions, onion leeks, and bell peppers. Add the black beans and mix together.

  5. Add the tofu. Season with the soy sauce mixture.

  6. Add the cornstarch mixture and sauté until thick, about 2 minutes. Turn off heat and enjoy while hot.
