Oil-Free Hummus with Chickpeas and Spices
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 1 garlic clove
- Curry powder
- Cumin powder
- Chili powder
Preparation
Put all ingredients in a blender and mix well.
Use only the juice of one lemon or peel it and use the whole lemon without the skin.
Add a little plant milk, water, or the chickpea can water to achieve a hummus-like texture.
Customize by adding other spices, herbs, or whole foods as desired.
For a milder garlic taste, use a small garlic clove or a little garlic powder.
Tips
Dip the hummus with whole grain flatbread with parsley and some raw veggies.
If buying store-bought hummus, prefer canola oil over sunflower oil for a better omega-3 to omega-6 ratio.
