One Pot Spicy Rigatoni Pasta Dish
Ingredients
- 1 lb rigatoni
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 cup milk (of choice)
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 large shallot
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp+ red pepper flakes
Preparation
Heat a dash of oil in a large pot or dutch oven over medium heat
Add diced shallot and minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes
Mix in tomato paste and butter
Add in water, milk, red pepper flakes and uncooked pasta
Bring to a boil
Turn to medium-low and cook uncovered for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently so the pasta doesn’t stick to bottom
Add 1/2 cup more water if necessary
