Beet and Cherry Recovery Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup chopped pineapple, fresh or frozen
  • 3/4 cup tart cherries, frozen
  • 1/4 cup coconut water
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or paste
  • 1 tbsp protein powder
  • 1.5 tsp super beets black cherry powder
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp coconut oil
  • juice of 1/2 small lemon
  • pinch sea salt

Optional

  • 1 medjool date (pre-soak in water 10-15 minutes first) or 1-2 tbsp maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Soak the medjool date in water for 10-15 minutes if using

  2. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth

  3. Pour the mixture into a bowl and serve immediately
