Tofu Corndog
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup yellow corn meal
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground mustard
- 6 tbl butter
- 1/2 cup oatmilk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 12 1/2
- 12 wooden sticks
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400 F. Place tofu strips on parchment lined baking sheet and bake while the oven preheats. About 15-20 minutes. Remove tofu once they look moisture free
While the oven preheats and tofu cooks prepare your corn wrapping. Whisk together the dry ingredients. Cut in the butter using a pastry blender, knives, or forks. The mix should look like little pebbles. Stir in the oatmilk and maple syrup using a heavy wooden spoon
Place dough on sheet of parchment paper. Place another sheet on top. Roll out to 1/4
Place the prepared corndogs on the parchment lined baking sheet, spray with a little oil, bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Enjoy
