Turmeric Latte with Spices and Milk
Ingredients
- 1.5 mugs of milk of choice
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder or a 2cm chunk fresh ground turmeric root - finely grated
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder or 2cm chunk finely grated
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil or ghee (optional)
Preparation
Simmer all ingredients in a pan for a good few minutes until it reduces and thickens to fill one mug.
Strain and serve.
Tips
For kids, add a little more honey to make it more appealing.
Gradually increase the amount of turmeric and decrease the honey over time.
