Turmeric Latte with Spices and Milk

Ingredients

  • 1.5 mugs of milk of choice
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder or a 2cm chunk fresh ground turmeric root - finely grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder or 2cm chunk finely grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or ghee (optional)

Preparation

  1. Simmer all ingredients in a pan for a good few minutes until it reduces and thickens to fill one mug.

  2. Strain and serve.

Tips

  1. For kids, add a little more honey to make it more appealing.

  2. Gradually increase the amount of turmeric and decrease the honey over time.
